Obituary for Tina L. Hertzog

Tina L. Hertzog, 45, of Mertztown, died Wednesday, February 1, 2023, as the result of complications of paraplegia, as the result of a gunshot wound she received in 1998.  Tina was the wife of Shawn E. Albright.  They were married October 17, 2007.  Born in Allentown, Tina was a daughter of Elaine Gross, Schnecksville, and the late Dallas H. Hertzog.

Tina was a member of Lighthouse Community Church, Lyon Station, where she was a former member of the choir.  

Tina enjoyed shooting pool, singing, attending demolition derbies, being with friends around a camp fire, and spending time with family.

In addition to her husband of 16 years, Shawn, and mother, Tina is survived by a daughter, Brooke L. VanKeuren, at home.  Other survivors include a sister, Brenda A. (Hertzog), wife of Charles Bowers, Fleetwood; There are also several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

A family directed memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. from Lighthouse Community Church, 5 East Penn Street, Lyon Station, with The Reverend Alton R. Zentner, officiating.  A visitation with the family will precede the services from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. in the Church.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
