The Life of Grace M. Green

Grace M. (Fritch) Green, 95, formerly of Maxatawny Township, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023 in Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown. She was the widow of Asher H. Green, who died on March 22, 2008.

Grace was born on November 16, 1927, in Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, and was a daughter of the late Howard and Edna (Fegely) Fritch. She was a 1945 graduate of Kutztown Area High School, and attended Saint John's United Church of Christ, Fogelsville. She was employed as a receiving clerk for Atlas Minerals and Chemicals, Inc., Mertztown, until her retirement in 1993.  Grace and her late husband Asher owned and operated a farm prior to their retirement. Grace enjoyed gardening and bird watching.

Grace is survived by her children, Randy L. Green, Mertztown; Gene S., husband of Barbara A. (Merkel) Green, Kutztown; Jay R. Green, Kutztown; Connie L. (Green), widow of Michael A. Bollinger, Kutztown; and Nancy L. (Green), wife of Lawrence S. Moyer, Fogelsville; grandchildren: Jeffrey A., husband of Megan (Schantz) Ruth; Richard M. Ruth, Jr.; Nicole A. (Moyer), wife of Eric Bowser; Jonathan S., husband of Angela (Roadermel) Marchiani; Jason R., husband of Amanda (Sperling) Moyer; Kristina M. Green; Brandon M., husband of Joseline J. (Diaz-Reyes) Green; and Courtney A. Moyer, partner of Maria Ortiz; and great-grandchildren: Asher Ruth; Heather Ruth; Allis Ruth; Lorelei Marchiani; Luis Yapor; and Nathaniel Bowser. Along with her husband and parents, Grace was predeceased by her sister, Mae (Fritch) Rhodes.

A funeral service to celebrate and honor Grace's life will be held on Monday October 9, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with The Reverend Denise Fry, officiating. Burial will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
