The Life of ERNEST EARL WILLIAMS JR.

Ernest Williams Jr., 83, passed away on December 7th, 2022. He was born to Ernest Williams Sr. and Mary Schaffer on December 29th, 1938 in Louisville, Kentucky.

Ernest and Judy worked at a restaurant together for several years in Louisville before permanently residing in Des Moines. They were married for 55 years. During this time, they created a union of four children.

Ernest lived a simple yet a full-filling life. He loved being at home, spending time with his family. He especially loved his children. He also loved watching westerns, working on cars, and animals.

He is survived by his beloved wife Judy; children Annette (Dave), Brenda (Brian), Trina (Justin) and Jason (Miranda); 12 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 am with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 am at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home in Urbandale.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Gospel Assembly Church in loving memory of Ernest.
