Obituary for Stanley "Sid" Daniels

Stanley "Sid" Daniels, 80, of Schuylkill Haven passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday.

Born, April 27, 1943, in Ashland, he was the son of the late Peter and Nancy Leschik Daniels.

Stanley was a graduate of Frackville Area High School in 1962.  He then went on to serve in the United States Navy from 1962-1966 where he was stationed on the U.S.S. Hancock.

He was a member of Jerusalem Evangelical Church in Schuylkill Haven.

Stan worked for PP&L for 40 years in many areas, retiring in 2006.  He last worked in Vegetation Management for PP&L.

Stan was an avid Penn State fan and was a Lionel Train Collector.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Jack Daniels and sister, Florence Jarzynko.  He is also preceded in death by his children, Susan Mogan and Shawn Daniels.

Stanley is survived by his wife of 55 years, the former Barbara Minarick.  He is also survived by his son Stanley K. Daniels and grandchildren, Shannon Morgan, Dana Frey, Matthew Daniels, and Angeliqua Daniels.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven.  A visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services.  Interment with military honors will follow on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.  Memories and condolences can be shared at www.grabowskifuneralhome.com
