Jim, 82, died in TX 6/4/13, survived by wife, Jane; daugh- ters, Betty (Gary) Maffei & Carol Ann (Dave Brown) Van Valken- burgh; grandchildren Michelle, Kevin & Keith Maffei, Diane & Adam Brown; sister, Kay Birk- maier; many family & friends. Jim survived a gunshot to the head at age 6. We're grateful to Dr. Ann McKee et al, Center for Study of Traumatic Encephalopathy (CSTE) for accepting Dad's brain - his last wish.
