The Life of Michael J. Garr Jr.
Michael J. Garr, Jr., 15, lifetime resident of Drexel Hill, PA, died April 21, 2023. Mike was a student at Upper Darby High School, having previously attended Garrettford Elementary and Drexel Hill Middle School. Mike had an infectious smile, a big heart, and a great head of hair. An avid sports fan, he followed the Eagles, Phillies and all college football. Mike was such a devoted sports fan, he aspired to be a sports announcer or referee.
Just like his mother, father and uncles, Mike also loved to go fishing. No matter the destination, Sea Isle or Crystal Beach to name a few favorites, Mike was there with his fishing pole in hand. Mike had also been a long time member of the Clifton PAL sports league and was loyal to the black and orange league colors.
Referred to as "my little man" by his mom Donna Peabody (John Pecko) and “McAwes” by his dad Michael Garr (Stefanie Brobst). He admired and looked up to his big brothers Samuel Garr and John Pecko. Mike is also survived by his maternal grandfather Martin Peabody (the late BettyAnn), paternal grandfather John Eissler (the late Claire); his girlfriend Bella, best friend David, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

An adored friend and neighbor
Michael was a gentle and kind boy. I have never seen my son adore anyone as much as he adored Michael. He wanted to spend every minute of the day with him. Michael was a good friend and so talented-have you ever seen his drawings?! Even years later as Michael became a teenager, every time I saw him walking in the neighborhood, I would feel a pang of affection for him. Michael will be in our hearts forever.

Infectious smile
I did not know Michael. I am so sorry for the friends and family of this young man.
I pray that you find the person who did this.
Michael sounds as if he had a great future and not a trouble maker.
Look up to the stars and think a new star is born.
May the lord be w you and comfort you all. 🙏❤️🙏
