The Life of Rosalind May Orlando

Obituary - Rosalind  "Rose" May (nee Castro ) Orlando, 86, of Norwood, PA, died February 8, 2023 at home. Born in Phila and raised in Havertown, she attended Bartram and Haverford High Schools, she had formerly been a resident of Phila  before moving to Norwood to live with her daughter. Rose studied fashion in Canada . She held various jobs including being a childcare worker and in cemetery sales. A deeply devout and spiritual woman, Rose attended various Bible Churches as well as having been an attendee at Beth Yashua temple.  An accomplished artist, she enjoyed painting, drawing and floral arranging. She also made wreaths and designed clothing. A lover of all God's creatures, Rose volunteered with animal rescue and cared for neighborhood strays.
Her family life was so important and the love and example she set for the countless children, grand, great grandchildren as well as extended members will be cherished.

Survivors include her children Ramona Thomas, Veronica L. Spera and Ricardo Orlando.
Service: Funeral Service will be 11:30 , Monday, February 20, 2023 at Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington, ; , , where friends may call after 10:30 am. Interment: Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA 19026
