David E. McCormick, age 78, of Philadelphia, died on December 17, 2019. Born in 1941 to the late Louis J. and Anne M. (Hagan) McCormick, David graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School. He furthered his education with a bachelor’s degree from Wharton Business School and a master’s degree at Northwestern. He served in the U.S. Navy, after which he became a mortgage officer at the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority. David was also a member of the U.S. Rowing Society. David is survived by his sister-in-law, Sharon McCormick; by his nephew, Louis J. McCormick, III (Denise); by his nieces, Bethany Meyer (David) and Erin Myers (Robert); and by 3 grandnieces and 6 grandnephews. A memorial mass will take place on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church, 33 Conwell Drive, Maple Glen, PA. Interment in St. Denis Cemetery will be private.
